Lemont, IL
The Old Stone Church is the oldest church structure in Lemont and was originally called the Lemont Methodist Episcopal Church. The structure existed as a church from 1861-1970. In 1970 the congregation moved to a new building and deeded the building and land to the Lemont Historical Society. The venue now houses a museum (in the basement) and hosts wedding ceremonies in the sanctuary. Paper records of the past are kept in the gallery or loft. The structure is charming, cozy, and made entirely of Lemont limestone donated by the Brown quarry. The land the church / museum sits on was also donated by the Brown family. It’s interesting to note that at one point, the building was used as a recruiting depot during the Civil War. It was also the site for reform activities within the church.
In October 2023, we were fortunate enough to host a public event for the Historical Society and obtained some awesome evidence from the P.R.I.C. device in the upstairs loft area. Below are the audio clips from that session, which Jim Williams and Al Grajek led with several public investigators. Thank you to Jim Williams for the audio clips.
While conducting a session using the P.R.I.C. in the loft area, the group asks if the spirit works at a nearby quarry. There is a clear and loud response, "Yeah."
Using the P.R.I.C. device in the upstairs loft area, we received quite a bit of evidence, which sounded like it came from the same male voice.
During the same session in using the P.R.I.C., the male voice continues to come through as Jim Williams and Al Grajek continue to ask questions during the public investigation.
During the same session in using the P.R.I.C., the group asks about where the spirit is and once again the same male voice comes through and says, "Heaven."
During the same session in using the P.R.I.C., the group asks about where the spirit is and gets several interesting responses including the name, "Nancy."
At the end of the P.R.I.C. session, the group asks what the spirit's name is. There is a response, yet again in the same male voice, that says, "Steve."
